(01)Overview

What is Mobile App Development?

Mobile app development is designing and building native or cross-platform apps for iOS and Android that are fast, intuitive and ready to scale as your user base grows. Arrowbin builds them for startups and businesses taking a product to mobile, and a focused MVP usually reaches the stores in 10–16 weeks.

Is this for you?

If your product belongs on a phone, we should talk.

  • Startups taking an idea to the app stores
  • Businesses extending a product to mobile
  • Teams that need offline, push or device features
  • Founders validating a mobile-first MVP

Same codebase. Notch, navigation, gestures and payment button adapt to each platform automatically.

(03)Device features

Everything the phone can do

The features that make an app worth installing instead of a bookmarked website. We build them natively, on both platforms.

  • Push notifications

Timely, segmented nudges that bring people back, not spam.

  • Offline mode

Works on a bad connection and syncs when it's back.

  • Camera & scanning

Photos, documents, QR and barcode scanning built in.

  • Maps & location

Live tracking, geofencing and nearby search.

  • Biometric login

Face ID and fingerprint sign-in, secure and instant.

  • In-app payments

Apple Pay, Google Pay, cards, wallets and subscriptions.

  • Real-time chat

Messaging, support chat and live updates.

  • Deep links

Links that open the right screen, from email, ads or SMS.

(04)Launch kit

(05)Process

How we deliver

We prototype before we code, and test on real phones before anything goes to the stores.

  1. 1

    Step 011–2 weeks

    Define

We agree on the feature set, the platforms and what the MVP needs to do.

  2. 2

    Step 022–3 weeks

    Design

We prototype the flows and the interface before any code.

  3. 3

    Step 036–10 weeks

    Develop

We build, integrate and test on real devices, where the bugs show up.

  4. 4

    Step 04Ongoing

    Ship & iterate

We launch to the stores, then improve the app based on how people use it.

(07)How we work together

Three ways to start

Start with a fixed-scope MVP. Once the app is live in the stores, choose a team for new releases or a care plan for upkeep.

  • Most popular

    Project

An MVP for iOS and Android, with a fixed estimate.

Best for a first app or taking a product to mobile.

    • Feature set agreed before design
    • Clickable prototype before code
    • Store submission handled

  • For growing products

    Product team

A team shipping app releases on your roadmap, month to month.

Best for apps that update often after launch.

    • App and backend built by one team
    • Releases through both stores
    • Changes based on how people use it

  • After launch

    Care plan

Updates and fixes so the app keeps passing store review.

Best for live apps with real users.

(09)FAQ

Questions?
Answered.

Still curious? Email hello@arrowbin.com and a human replies within a day.

  • For most products, cross-platform (React Native or Flutter) gives you native-quality results from one codebase and saves 30–40% versus building each platform separately. We only push for fully native when an app is heavy on performance or hardware.

  • A polished MVP usually lands between $12,000 and $40,000, depending on the features and integrations. We give you a fixed estimate once the core feature set is defined.

  • Yes. We handle the whole release: store listings, review compliance, builds and updates, so your app goes live without the usual headaches.

  • A focused MVP usually takes 10–16 weeks from kickoff to the stores: about 1–2 weeks defining scope, 2–3 weeks of design and 6–10 weeks of development and testing. Store review then takes anywhere from a day to a week.

  • Yes. We cache the data people need most, queue their actions while they're offline, and sync everything when the connection returns, so the app stays usable on a poor network.

  • You do. The source code, the App Store and Google Play developer accounts and all app data belong to you. We work inside your accounts, never ours.
